CTO / Co-Founder / Fractional CTO

Iris is building the intelligence layer that connects founders to the right investors, mentors, and opportunities through one high-signal network, starting with a curated network of female founders in the UK and France. We are looking for a CTO to design and build the AI that powers this network, turning fragmented relationships and informal introductions into a scalable, data-driven system that matches the right people at the right time.
What you will do
- Translate real-world network behaviour into structured data and intelligent, LLM-driven workflows.
- Own the product architecture from MVP to scale across email, WhatsApp, and web, building a secure, serverless foundation natively within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
- Work closely with founders to define product, roadmap, and technical strategy.
- Build and lead the engineering team as the company grows.
What we are looking for
- Strong experience building and scaling products, ideally in AI, data, or network-driven platforms, with deep Applied AI engineering skills (hands-on expertise with LLM orchestration and generating high-dimensional embeddings).
- Deep technical familiarity with the Google Cloud ecosystem, specifically Vertex AI (Vector Search) and serverless deployment (Cloud Run, Firestore).
- Ability to move fast from zero to one with limited resources.
- Product-minded engineer who understands user behaviour and real-world workflows (you prioritize frictionless data capture over clunky UI layers).
- Experience in the venture ecosystem is a strong advantage.
