your information.

Who we are

“IRIS”, “we”, “us” refers to the IRIS founder network operated from London, with members across Cambridge and Paris. The site you are reading is iriscapital.ai, owned and run by the IRIS team.

For data-protection purposes, IRIS is the controller of any personal information you submit through this site.

What we collect

When you submit the “Join IRIS” form on this site, we collect:

• Your name and email address, so we can reach you.
• The role you are applying as (founder, investor, corporate partner, etc.) and, where relevant, the stage of your company.
• Your company name, so we have context on what you are building.
• Your LinkedIn profile URL, which we treat as the primary professional reference for matching.
• Your phone number, in international format, so we can introduce you directly when an opportunity moves quickly.

We do not ask for, and we do not want, any sensitive personal data (health, religion, political views, etc.). Please do not send it.

For anti-abuse, we additionally collect a one-way hash of the IP address that submitted the form, derived using a private rotating salt. The raw IP address is never stored.

Why we collect it

Every field above exists for one reason: to make warm, high-signal introductions inside the network. We do not sell this information, we do not enrich it against third-party datasets, and we do not use it to train external AI models.

Where it lives

Form submissions are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted by our infrastructure provider (Railway), in EU/EEA regions where available. The database is accessible only to a small set of IRIS operators over an authenticated, encrypted connection.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to filter automated submissions. Cloudflare may briefly process technical signals (such as device, browser, and IP characteristics) to decide whether a submission is human. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.

How long we keep it

We keep application data for as long as you are an active member of the network or an active candidate for membership. If your application is unsuccessful and you do not ask to stay on file, we delete the record within twelve months.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU/EEA, you have the right to ask us to:

• show you a copy of the information we hold about you,
• correct anything that is wrong or out of date,
• delete your information,
• stop using your information for any purpose other than the one you originally agreed to.

Cookies

IRIS does not set marketing or analytics cookies on this site. The only persistent client-side storage we use is the short-lived token issued by Cloudflare Turnstile to verify form submissions. There is nothing to opt in or out of.

Changes to this policy

The network is young and the way we work will evolve. When we materially change how we handle information we will update this page and bump the date at the top. If you joined IRIS before a change, we will notify you directly.
